Deady Bear.

Tuesday, March 11th, 2008

Being a sentimental sort I just couldn’t throw away the bear I’ve had for 30 years, so he was sat on a shelf in my office.

Wilf the dog managed to get hold of him and have his wicked way, it wasn’t pretty.

Dead Teddy

Poor old Pooh.

I made this to try to improve my photoshop skills, using some blood spatter effects I found by smashing words into my keyboard on a search engine. It would be rude not to link to Peterpson’s blood spatter brushes since I’ve benefited from them

Duvel and Tablets, do not mix.

I’ve had a graphics tablet (see below) for about 6 months now and haven’t really been able to get on with it. So on Friday night I decided I’d see what all the fuss was about, and try to learn my way around using a pen and tablet instead of a mouse. This new website is the result of that experiment. I know it’s hard to believe that these graphics weren’t created by a supremely talented high paid graphic artist, but they weren’t – they were created by little old me using just my hands, eyes and brain.

Anyway, this is the tablet that will no doubt reach legendary status as I use it to generate unfeasably attractive works of art.

My graphics tablet

What I should probably mention at this time is that drawing with a graphics tablet wasn’t the first thing I did on Friday night. It was actually the sixth. The first five things I did were to drink a pint of duvel, five times. If you haven’t come across Duvel, you don’t know what you are missing, it’s made by some crazy belgian bastards and contains 8.5% alchohol. According to my lovely girlfriend it makes me into a bit of a stupid bugger, but since that’s true before I drink it, I don’t see the problem.

mmmmm...... Duvel
