1.) You don’t get instant results with film. I want to see the pictures but I can’t! Argh! I wonder if Asda will process it…
2.) I’ve got a new computer so I can’t bloody scan the results anyway! Double argh!

Luckily I had my little Leica with me so I could at least do something when I got home! It also gives me something to compare the pinhole shots against.

Inside these is some magic and some 96 gigglebytes of memories and 32 processoids. I don’t know how they work or what they do but luckily it’s not my job to look after them. Oh wait, yes it is.

I’m told they contain a thing called eunuchs or more accurately l-eunuchs which is like eunuchs but with an l in it. I’m also told typing rm -rf * is the right way to login. If you’re still reading this and you know what that means you are a mega nerd, congratulations.

BIG SIGH. oh well…. I love giving Steve Jobs money because he needs it to buy jumpers and socks and things.

What you also want is to forget that there is a stop tap in the house and so try to fix it with the jet of water still spraying out directly in your face like some sort of sadistic winter crowd control method, eventually ending up as if you’d jumped in a river of freezing cold water and are absolutely soaked to the bone.

Then and only then will you remember the stop tap and turn off the water…. Oh and you want to be on a water meter as well… Good times.

A quick glance warns me that this is no ordinary mayonnaise as it appears to be at risk of containing almost every other foodstuff imaginable – what on Earth kind of factory is this stuff made in?!

In other news, I’ve got loads of photos from the Lake District to share, so watch this space. Here is a cow to start you off!!!

Highlights include the boat trip to Totnes, a meal at the Michelin star restaurant “The New Angel” (all 11 insanely delicious courses of it), and a lot of beer (for me) and wine (for Abby) in a lot of lovely pubs.

Go there, it’s fab. That there white house in the picture is where Agatha Christie lived! I know!

Basically I arrived, worked, then flew back, so you can imagine I had a wide and varied experience which involved seeing almost entirely the inside of hotels and absolutely nothing else.

From my previous post you’ll have seen that I might have had a moment or two to spend in a jacuzzi overlooking Dubai creek, which I suppose was alright, if you like that kind of thing. Which I do!

Since all I saw was the hotel, I’ll tell you about the room. It was a five star hotel so the room was nicely appointed and the bed was comfortable beyond belief! One odd thing though – the bathroom and bedroom were separated by a glass window.

Now I don’t know about you but I don’t want my wife to watch me having a poo – and I most certainly don’t want to watch her – I’m sure that’s a thing some people enjoy but as Alan Partridge would say, “They’re sex people Lynne!”

Moving on, when at the hotel I mostly saw it during the hours of darkness as I was working during the day. It looked better at night including the view in the distance of the ludicrous Burj Dubai, by a long way the tallest building in the world. Visible below, it’s the lit up tower to the left of the image in the distance

Finally because I apparently go away on work and always take a photo of a big wheel, here is a photo of a big wheel.

I have no internet at home, and at the moment am in the middle of 75 massive DIY projects, so don’t expect to have any free time at all over the next few weeks. So apologies in advance for the lack of updates!

Anyone want to come and lay the slate floor in my kitchen for me? I can’t be bothered but it needs to be done by Friday morning.

Anyway here are some pictures I took a few weeks ago when I went to Brean Down. What I did was, I went to Brean down, with a camera, and I pointed it at things and took pictures. Crazy times.

Unless you’ve been living on the moon you probably already know this. Apparently it’s hot in this place called hotstralia but that seems quite unlikely because on the BBC it said it was snowing everywhere.

Anyway I made this, just because I can, on my garden wall. I call them John Snow and his family.

The only problem is Wilf the Dog seemed to think a family of cats had come to sit on the wall and not move at all for several hours, so as soon as we opened the back door he went mad and tried to attack them. Silly Wilf.
